Marie Kettly Cruz at the age of 65, passed away at Lake Walves Nursing Center on September 5, 2017, after being sick for more than 2 years.
Marie Kettely was born to Wanchilinne Louis and Occelanne Gervais on June 17, 1952 in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti, where she was raised and educated. Kèkèt, as she was affectionately called by her family and close friends, loved family. Marie Kettely became one of Jehovah Witnesses in 1976, and had an unwavering faith in Jehovah God. She was united in marriage to Remy Remarais in 1980....

Marie Kettely was born to Wanchilinne Louis and Occelanne Gervais on June 17, 1952 in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti, where she was raised and educated. Kèkèt, as she was affectionately called by her family and close friends, loved family. Marie Kettely became one of Jehovah Witnesses in 1976, and had an unwavering faith in Jehovah God. She was united in marriage to Remy Remarais in 1980. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1992. She and Remy were married for 12 blissful years.
Marie Kettely is survived by her second spouse of 17 years Regino Cruz and her daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews:
Batcheba and husband Guarry Jean, Nerlande and husband Smith Descombes, Johane and husband Enock Jean, Murielle and Jessica; her 4 loving grandchildren: Aliya and Arjaylan Campbell (from Murielle), Jedidiah and Jenayah Jean (from Johane); her 4 sisters Jacqueline, Josline, Carmelle, Silette and 3 brothers Wilson, Erick, Boaz. She has several nieces and nephews.
Marie Kettely was a self sacrificing and hardworking mother. In a loving but firm manner she raised her daughters to learn righteousness and to love Jehovah by providing practical advice based on scriptural principles.
Marie Kettely was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Before she became ill, Marie Kettely was a capable and energetic worker. She loved the outdoors, and working in her garden. She had amazing talents and could speak up to 4 languages. Marie Kettely loves preaching the good news and she was a zealous regular pioneer for many years. She loved Jehovah and had always rely on Him throughout all her life. Her favorite scripture was Isaiah 41:13. She used to hum Kingdom melodies and never failed to mention Jehovah in all she said. (mommy toujou ap fredone Melodi Wayòm li pap di yon mot san li pa mete Jewova) she always reminded her children to remain faithful to Jehovah. Marie Kettely was known for her ease in frequent conversations, her signature gift of joy shown through her constant and beautiful smile, laughs and jokes will never be forgotten.
